U.S. Forum – HURRY!!   Attend the US Forum March 16-19, 2014 in Washington D.C.  For more information, go to    Click on US Forum. 

PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND THE STATE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE  JUNE 6 & 7th … AND TO ENCOURAGE OTHERS IN YOUR CHAPTER TO ATTEND WITH YOU!!!!!!  ALL NEW CHAPTER OFFICERS SHOULD PLAN TO ATTEND FOR TRAINING AND RECEIVING NEW INFORMATION FOR YOUR CHAPTER.  The Conference will end at 5:30 on Saturday June 7th, so many of you will be able to drive home that night and save that hotel expense.  We will begin at 9am on Friday.  Conference schedule-at-a-glance is posted on our Gamma State website (

Workshops for the State Conference – Let your chapter members know that they may apply to present a short workshop on Saturday June 7 at our Leadership Conference at the Embassy Suites in OKC.  Workshops can be on any subject or craft or something just for fun.  The application is on-line at our website. 

You can nominate someone from your chapter for the Chapter Achievement Award, presented at State Conference in June.  (form found at

Chapter Newsletters - to be eligible for the Newsletter Award, at least 3 of your newsletters should be sent to the Communications Chairman Arneeta Gordon   & also sent to me  as part of the admissions necessary for the Red/Gold Chapter Excellence Award. 

Annie Awards – turn in an Annie Award application for a program you have enjoyed with your chapter.  Form is on line at our website. 


When new chapter officers are elected, send “Reporting Chapter Officers Form” (due before May 15) to me, State President and International Headquarters.

 DKG International Convention will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana July 28 to Aug 1, 2014.  The registration form has been published in DKG NEWS, which has been sent to every member.

 And, as before,

Form 6 – ALWAYS Report the Death of a Member as soon as possible.  Include an obituary and as much information as possible; send to Judy Barnes, including an address where a condolence card from the state can be sent. This Form must be sent to the appropriate officers: (1) Membership Services at International Headquarters  (2) State Membership – Judy   Barnes   (3) State Treasurer - Diane Laase    and make a copy for your files.
