Secretary, Ann Ritchie

Ann, Gamma Alpha Chapter, has been a member of Delta Kappa Gamma since 1993 and is an active member of her chapter.  She is always eager to serve and learn more about the Society.

During her career in education, Ann was a member of both OEA and NEA.  In 1996, she was recognized as the Oklahoma City OEA Teacher of the Year.  Ann was a 1997 National Writers' Project Fellow at Oklahoma State University.  During 1998-1999, Ann received a $48,000 grant to develop a state of the art reading lab at her high school. In addition, she has been awarded several grants to inspire students of all ages to read.

Ann is a member of the St. Gregory the Great Church where she sings in the choir and is active in women's groups.  Most recently in 2010, she was appointed to the Enid Library Board.  She has also been on the Chautauqua Board since 2005 serving as president for two terms.

Ann will be serving Gamma State as Secretary for the 2011-2013 biennium.  She will be responsible for assisting the President by keeping accurate minutes of all state business.  At the Leadership Conference she will provide training for all incoming chapter secretaries.  Ann will also continue her service as a member of the Creative Women of Oklahoma Award committee.
